NI DAQ Designer 2003 Reduces Application Development Time
Data Acquisition Advisor CD Now Packed with More Than 100 Measurement Example Programs

NEWS RELEASE -- March 18, 2003 -- The newest version of the free National Instruments DAQ Designer configuration advisor CD is now available with more than 100 measurement example programs. This easy-to-use data acquisition advisor helps users select the right hardware and software tools for their measurement application.

For anyone developing a new data acquisition system or seeking to improve their current system, the DAQ Designer 2003 CD is a comprehensive resource for information on NI measurement hardware products and award-winning software, including the NI LabVIEW graphical development environment. Users simply answer questions posed by DAQ Designer about their system and application details. The configuration advisor then recommends the optimal hardware and software combination to meet their needs. DAQ Designer recommends systems for a variety of applications such as signal acquisition and generation, data logging and control and simulation. The 2003 edition of this popular advisor also includes customizable example programs for NI LabVIEW, Microsoft Visual Basic and C, which reduce set-up time by demonstrating how to develop common applications.

This free CD provides additional resources including product descriptions, tutorials, data sheets and application notes in seven languages: English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. NI also expands the features of DAQ Designer 2003 with Web resources including pricing information, an online catalog, 15 online product advisors and more than 1,800 additional measurement example programs.
